Unique Minds Consultancy (UMC) is a small business that focuses on supporting change for children, young people and families. We offer a diverse range of assessments, child therapeutic services and support to carers and parents and extended family. UMC works in rural, regional and remote south western QLD and aims to be agents of change through supporting vulnerable children who have experienced trauma, abuse, adversity and have mental health concerns. We are highly committed and invested in the child protection, Disability and mental health of children and support those in underserved communities.
How would $5k or $10k enable you to create more profit and impact in your business?
The funding would would facilitate UMC to attract specialist expert child and family practitioners through incentives such as specialist training through Queensland Institute Play Therapists (QIPT) so support and therapeutic interventions can be provided to children in regional, rural and remote communities.
The impact will be significant for the children and for the growth of our small business as our reach and scope of work grow exponentially.
Please outline what you would spend the grant on:
The funding will be spent on training and development of our child therapists through modules offered by QIPT in work time. It is anticipated the funding will be kept in the state of QLD and coaching and mentoring support will be offered to each practitioner.
