Over 50% of aged care residents suffer with loneliness & depression. The Daisie Chain works to bring joy through music and movement. We have been doing this through a manual service but now it's time to automate the business and take it to the next level. We have created HappiHive, which is a B2B web platform and app to make the role of the Lifestyle Coordinator as simple as possible whilst ensuring all residents of aged care facilities have the right to access high quality, reliable, insured and professional service providers. Let's end loneliness in aged care together.
How would $5k or $10k enable you to create more profit and impact in your business?
Over 50% of aged care residents suffer loneliness. 20% of the population over 80 years old live in aged care. Only 3% of the daily budget is allocated to cover over 60% of the daily activities for a resident. HappiHive will create a hub of service providers available for all age care facilities to access. We have been running a manual service for over 6 years, the only way we can impact more facilities, taking the pressure off of the staff and providing a higher quality of life for residents is to automate the process. The more facilities and providers we have on board, the bigger we can grow the business and the more lives we can impact. This has the potential to affect every single one of us, whether it's ourself or a loved one who lives in aged care.
Please outline what you would spend the grant on:
$10K would help us to fund a prototype platform which we can then take to the aged care industry for further funding and development. We have the network of facilities which we can tap into and the interest in the platform but the next step is to create the prototype.
