Uforage is a mobile app for finding and sharing food. A free marketplace connecting growers, makers and bakers to people looking for their most local and fresh sources of food including wild growing food in public spaces. Our vision is to reduce household waste and end hunger on a global scale. We believe there is enough food in the world for everyone, you’ve just got to know where to find it.
How would $5k or $10k enable you to create more profit and impact in your business?
Investing in building the community phase of our app positions us as a leader in self sufficiency education and resources. Our main goals are reducing household waste and ending hunger on a global scale, and teaching people skills in self sufficiency is another step in achieving those goals.
Please outline what you would spend the grant on:
$10K would allow us to commence work on monetising our app which includes building in ads and subscription models. Inside the subscription model we aim to provide a range of basic courses on growing vegetable gardens and basic gardening how to’s, from scratch cooking including, sourdough, yoghurt, cheese and butter, preserving and fermentation, wild food foraging and herbal medicine. Without monetising the app we cannot make a profit.
