Tell us about your business:
I support individuals who may have had challenging experiences with dance or exercise, or lacked a safe, non-judgmental environment for these activities, through African Dance Fitness. When someone expresses that AWJ classes have been transformative for them, enabling them to rediscover joy in moving their bodies and break free from a negative relationship with exercise or dance, it reaffirms the purpose behind AWJ. My aim is to provide a space where people can dance freely without fear of judgment, reconnect with themselves, others, and the spirit of Africa, and surmount societal or self-imposed limitations by embracing mistakes and pushing boundaries.
How would $5k or $10k enable you to create more profit and impact in your business?
With a $10k budget, our primary focus lies in addressing key operational needs such as instructor fees, studio rental, booking platform maintenance, and social media management. We aim to expand our reach through business and marketing coaching, launching campaigns for audience growth. Introducing video bundles and enhancing virtual classes will foster a more inclusive global community. Furthermore, investing in fitness certifications will elevate our instructors' capabilities. Our vision encompasses hosting local African dancers and organizing cultural exchange trips to Africa. Securing support is vital for realizing these goals, ensuring Afro Dance Fitness's sustained growth and positive global impact.

AWJ’s Core Expenditures: $7,788
- Instructor fees = approx. $3840 (6 months)
- Studio rental = approx. $1800 (6 months)
- Booking platform = $1068 (annual plan)
- Social media managing = $1080 (6 months)
AWJ’s Elevation Expenditures: Remaining $2,212 (Business/marketing coaching, video bundles, fitness certifications, assistance for event and retreat organization).
