Tell us about your business:
I am a mortgage broker with 8 years of finance experience. For a long time I've had a dream of starting my own business, then a year ago I moved into mortgage broking. What gives me the most enjoyment in my business is showing my clients that it's possible to purchase a property and start their home buying journey. I look after first home buyers, investors, next home buyers, home loan refinances and even car loans. I started my business 1 year ago with Mortgage Choice as a franchisee and on July 3rd I begin my new business under my own brand- ELk Funding Group. It's an exciting next step in my journey to building a successful brokerage and I'm looking forward to growing my business.
How would $5k or $10k enable you to create more profit and impact in your business?
This would mean that I could advertise my new business ELk Funding Group in the community and have more brand awareness through social media, local weekly preview that gets delivered and mail drops. It would also allow me to keep my business coach on my journey to continue to set me apart from my competitors.
The advertising would create brand awareness and leads and the business coach hones in on my skills as a broker to give my clients the best experience.
Please outline what you would spend the grant on:
Advertising- google ads, social media campaign, local magazine- preview, sponsorship at my local surf club- the Friday night prize and also allow me to keep my business coach on my journey to continue to grow my skills as a business owner and mortgage broker.
