How has the business been funded to date?

  • Bootstrapped

Tell us about your business:

Who do I serve- Women, non-binary folk and Trans-women
What I do- I design and make underwear, swimwear and sleepwear
Why do I do it- I see a gap in the market for women and others like me! We require design that accommodates and exhibits a wide range of shapes and sizes (My range goes up to 5XL), we require sustainable fibres, practices and ethics around how our clothes are made. We are tuff women and don't need all the bows and lace and girly bits!

How would $5k or $10k enable you to create more profit and impact in your business?

5k- Time is the key deficit for me currently.
By having my Basics Collection Manufactured I will create 25% more time to focus in on SEO, Marketing (ads) and Designing new product which will result in higher profits and a higher social impact.
10k- I would be able to manufacture beyond my basics collection freeing even more time and money to focus on MARKETING and SOCIAL IMPACT (photoshoots with a wider variety of people). It would also enable me to invest some cash into ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT. Access to more sustainable materials, packaging and recycling orgs such as Upparel. This all feeds into creating fuel and engagement with socials leading to higher profits and greater impact on my audience.

Please outline what you would spend the grant on:

5k- this money would go directly to manufacturing my 'Basics Collection'.
This will free up 25% of my hands-on sewing hours to focus on SEO, marketing (Insta and google ads) and my business strategies (as outlined in my business plan)
10k- MANUFACTURING (70%) and MARKETING (paid ads, seo etc)
