Like the "Sugar" in our name suggests, we specialize in Body Sugaring Hair Removal and offer our services for both men and women including facial and intimate sugaring.
As a Beauty Therapist for over 25 years, I found my niche and passion when I discovered Sugaring in 2014.
Sugaring is less painful than waxing, it’s not hot, it’s more gentle on skin, eczema and dermatitis. It prevents ingrown hairs, exfoliates the skin and leads to permanent hair reduction.
Our clients are people with sensitive skin or those looking for a more natural, vegan-friendly alternative to waxing.
How would $5k or $10k enable you to create more profit and impact in your business?
Every new sugaring client always asks “Why isn’t everyone doing this?” There aren’t many salons that provide sugaring. Some of my clients drive 90 minutes one way for their appointment. If sugaring was available in more areas, more people would know about and fall in love with it too.
My 5 Year Plan (which has abruptly become a 5 month plan) is to open rooms in all different locations. I already have one in a yoga studio in Seaford and just this week have opened another in a hairdressing salon in Pakenham.
Our operating hours allow me to offer employees work/life balance which is hard to come by in this industry.
Please outline what you would spend the grant on:
After the “goat incident” caused me to accelerate my 5 Year Plan, $5k or $10k would allow me to achieve this with a lot less stress as I am now unable to be "on the tools" or I will cause irreparable damage.
Instead of having a practically $0 budget for marketing, I could employ the skills of a Social Media Manager to ensure our success from Day 1 at each location.
It would provide a buffer to allow for covering wages and rent in the first couple of months, allowing me to offer more employment opportunities.
$5k or $10k would offer peace of mind, which is priceless.
