BigToes Australia creates scientifically developed pre-walker and toddler shoes that mimic barefoot walking. They are the only toddler shoes in Australia with multiple medical recommendations and a unique colour-changing feature in sunlight. Our primary customers are parents of children up to age 3, but our shoes are also popular gifts from grandparents, aunts, uncles, and friends. The inspiration behind BigToes came from my now 5-year-old son, and the support to turn it into a business came from my husband. Our mission is to ensure healthy foot development for young children through innovative footwear.
How would $5k or $10k enable you to create more profit and impact in your business?
With the $5k grant, I plan to enroll in the Kate Engler PR Master Class, a goal I've pursued for over 18 months. This course provides essential tools to craft compelling PR pitches and secure interviews with major media outlets like Today Show, Mamamia, and Sunrise. Exposure on platforms like Today Show could significantly boost growth, visibility, and profit for my brand. Additionally, it offers a platform to share my journey with other women.
The $10k grant would enable international exposure at specialised expos, connecting with niche customers, influencers, and professionals, potentially leading to global partnerships and brand expansion.
Please outline what you would spend the grant on:
$5K would allow me to attend a PR and marketing Master Class I’ve been eyeing for over 18 months. This training will equip me with the marketing skills needed to significantly boost my business. I believe my passion for my brand, makes me the best person to drive its success.
With $10K, I could attend the PR training and participate in the Barefoot Expo in the US. This event draws barefoot enthusiasts, podiatrists, health practitioners, and media from around the world. It would be an excellent opportunity to catapult my brand internationally to my target audience.
