Tell us about your business:
I am a small locally owned and run day spa in a small coastal town called Jurien Bay, catering for several surrounding towns and locals. I personally thrive on making people look and feel fabulous and important whilst escaping their everyday lives at home/work etc. I started my salon 2years ago and have recently taken the gamble putting on a staff member casually. I would love to expand and add extra space to my salon offering additional relaxation/therapeutic services to our little community. Ideally I would like to create a "recovery room" consisting of infrared sauna & ice bath combo.
How would $5k or $10k enable you to create more profit and impact in your business?
Any additional funds, large or small will help me to build my small business and offer more services! Ideally I am aiming to take over additional space that is currently available and create a "recovery room" consisting of sauna&icebath which will draw more variety of clientele to my salon. In Jurien Bay we have a very strong sporting demographic which would absolutely benefit from this expansion and draw a new/different crowd into my little salon. given the opportunity and additional funds, I feel this will absolutely help me create more profit and interest within my small business :)
Please outline what you would spend the grant on:
If successful I would use the funds to purchase either a 3 person infrared sauna or ice bath to put towards my expansion project. This project has been a dream of mine for a little while now and keeps being pushed to the bottom of the list as other business costs take over . given the opportunity and additional funds ..... I can make it happen and improve my business :)
