Tell us about your business:

I am here to provide mulled wine lovers in Australia with a ready-to-drink option that is not only easy but exceptionally delicious. No more planning ahead, no mess in the kitchen or bitter recipes, just a bottle and all the memories that come with it, that is ready to go when you are. This is already the norm in many countries but has until now never been an option in Australia, as many ex-pats who’ve gone searching at Dan Murphy’s will tell you. I am here to change that. Our mission is to provide joy and comfort to our customers with a truly authentic product, handmade sustainably with quality local ingredients.

How would $5k or $10k enable you to create more profit and impact in your business?

It will allow me to optimise what I know is working for my business and remove inefficiencies that are reducing my profit. It would allow me to do these things NOW rather than slowly in increments over time with the income that I’m generating. This means more impact and more profit sooner rather than hovering on ‘just getting by’ because of cash flow restrictions.

Please outline what you would spend the grant on:

$4,500 towards building a new website on Shopify (currently on Wix). With a more professional look and easier-user experience, subscription offers and better integration with Klaviyo, Google and Meta I should be able to increase my conversion rate considerably and optimise everything I do.

$2000 towards training in running my own Meta ads. Paid advertising has taken my business to a whole new level this year but I need to learn these skills myself to hold on to more of what I make in the long term.

$3500 towards equipment that will allow me to upscale my production to reduce the hours spent on making my product.
