Tell us about your business:
Seven Islands Skincare is a holiday for your skin everyday. Give your skin a break from synthetics, chemicals, pollution and stress. As a beauty therapist with endometriosis and a 10-year IVF journey, I know how important it is for women to find safe (yet effective and luxurious!) trustworthy skincare free from hormone disruptors and nasties. 26 seconds is all it takes for skincare ingredients to reach our bloodstream – so I formulated my own natural, safe and beautiful skincare to share with you! You deserve to feel empowered in your choices of looking and feeling your best.
How would $5k or $10k enable you to create more profit and impact in your business?
$10K will help free up my time so that I can build my business and spread the importance of safe yet luxurious skincare. Connections are priceless and I have found that speaking to people, meeting people and putting myself out there is the lifeblood of my business. Nobody can replicate ME though… so the 10K will allow me to outsource certain business tasks to others. Allowing me to be ME for my family and my business.
Please outline what you would spend the grant on:
I currently create and package the skincare myself at home. I’d spend the $10K on getting my skincare manufactured within Australia and have already got quotes and chosen a manufacturer - even though I haven’t sourced the funding. I realised I just have to START somewhere or I will continue on the hamster wheel! Getting it manufactured in Australia means I know it’s ethically produced and I can keep an eye on quality. It would still be my formulas and my love and knowledge that founded the brand - it’s now time to scale and spread the natural skincare revolution!
