Tell us about your business:

Maia Mothers Collective's mission is to holistically support women in the perinatal season of their lives. Our team of multimodal health practitioners includes nutritionists, naturopaths, acupuncturist, psychologists, remedial massage and myotherapist, lactation consultant and endorsed midwife. Together, we support our clients individually and via group sessions; via our in-person mothers groups; online via our membership portal and through our expanding suite of online courses. We believe by empowering and supporting women through this often-tumultuous life phase, we can help mitigate maternal mental health issues and motherhood depletion, in a world these issues are too common.

How would $5k or $10k enable you to create more profit and impact in your business?

The money would enable us to reach and help more women via increased marketing efforts, which in turn will help mothers feel more empowered throughout their pregnancy, birthing and mothering journey, rather than traumatized, isolated and overwhelmed.

Our profitability would increase by widening our reach of services; allowing our clinic to become fully booked; our membership to grow and our online offering sales to increase. Via increasing profitability, we would be able to eventually expand to multiple locations; offering more in-person services to women and their families who need them.

Please outline what you would spend the grant on:

If awarded the grant, we would spend the money on employing individualised marketing strategies to help improve our SEO and paid ads to reach more women who need us. It would also go to purchasing much needed clinic equipment such as a new massage table and TENS machines which we hire out to birthing women.
Finally, some money would go to investment in continued education for the entire team such as conferences and online webinars. All of this would help the business grow by achieving our mission of holistically supporting the woman in her perinatal season of life.
