Tell us about your business:
Zonely is an inclusive social sport movement where people can easily connect with each other and to sporting venues to safely play social sport.
The world is experiencing huge societal problems of low inactivity levels, poor wellbeing, mental health and loneliness.
Zonely is solving these problems by connecting people through a social sport booking platform and an all-inclusive and welcoming active community where everyone is celebrated and encouraged. We are focused on increasing participation for underrepresented groups.
We have first launched with golf as there is a huge growth opportunity and Founder Alicia is from a golfing family!
How would $5k or $10k enable you to create more profit and impact in your business?
Our revenue, venue partnership and social impact metrics are growing and to date, we have generated $25,000 in revenue, onboarded 25 golf venues, grown to 250 members, made 1,000 human connections and achieved more than 60,000 minutes of exercise through the platform!
Our underrepresented participation numbers are strong; for example, women make up about 70% of our community.
There is huge demand for Zonely outside Sydney, and the $5k or $10k Spark grant can help us to enhance our digital experience and increase venue supply so that Zonely becomes more scalable both geographically and with other sports!
Please outline what you would spend the grant on:
In order to grow our social impact, increase our profit and scale both geographically and into other sports, we need to design and build the next version of our digital platform and cover business operational costs.
The enhanced digital platform will include an improved website and web application, booking engine and member experience to make it even easier for people to find others to connect with and play social sport.
The $10k would go towards digital design, digital development, software, rent and other business operational costs.
The $5k would go to digital design, software, rent and other business operational costs.
