Tell us about your business:

Kids on Track was established by paediatric nurse consultant Ariella Lew. The Kids on Track team are child development specialists and work with children and young people from 0-18. Ariella also uses her experience to work with schools and allied health teams to ensure that all continence, behaviour plans and goals are personalised and appropriate. Ariella leads a team of passionate support coordinators and advocates who work with families to get the most out of their NDIS plan.
We believe that through education and tailor made support, we can improve outcomes for every child and family.

How would $5k or $10k enable you to create more profit and impact in your business?

In the current climate in Australia with cuts being made across disability service together with the cost of living crisis, the money would allow me to reach families who currently can’t afford our help. I would begin by upskilling myself and ensuring that I fully understood the market that isn’t currently being reached. I then hope to create a series of new ( lower cost) service offerings including membership programs, training courses and downloadable information materials. I would also like to expand my work in the not for profit sector where our profit margins are much lower.

Please outline what you would spend the grant on:

I would envisage all of the $5K being used on working closely with a business strategist who specialises in growth and has an understanding of the health and disability space. 60% approx would be put towards coaching and the other 40% in development of the new services suggested.
With the additional money from the $10K there would be more options for development of services via online training platforms and there would be more resources available for promoting them. I would hope to use 20% of the $10K on outreach and collaborations with not for profits to benefit their clients.
