The planet we stand on is all we have, and as a business owner, I want to reduce the print we leave on this planet we call home. ADAMO, in latin means 'to conceive love or desire, to be enamoured' – it reflects our mission to foster a deeper connection with the Earth through mindful consumption. Our aim is to offer the community functional bags that are sustainably and ethically produced. All of our bags are made from recycled cotton, polyester and recycled PET Bottles. Unlike the binary notion of consuming or not, ADAMO promotes 'conscious consumption,' encouraging buyers to be aware of how their choices impact society and the environment. The bag embodies the belief that acknowledging our environmental impact enhances our connection to the world, fostering a practice of love and care for our planet. This ethos is central to ADAMO, driving our dedication to sustainability and ethical production.
How would $5k or $10k enable you to create more profit and impact in your business?
With an infusion of $5,000 or $10,000, ADAMO could significantly scale its operations and impact. This funding would allow for the expansion of our product line, enhance our marketing efforts, and streamline our production process to reduce wait times. One of ADAMO's unique strengths lies in our innovative marketing approach where I have curated a diverse and gender-inclusive video and photo-reel. I plan to build on this foundation, organizing larger-scale collaborations with artists across various mediums—design, film, photography, and fashion—to produce more content that embodies ADAMO’s values and artistic vision. This approach not only promotes inclusivity but also strengthens the brand’s connection with the community and enhances the storytelling behind each product.
Please outline what you would spend the grant on:
Stock Purchase: $4,000 for high-quality, sustainable materials.
Campaigns: $3,000 for film production, a director, assistant, video reels, set design, costumes, and talent. Creating unique and stylistic content that is reflective of the brand.
Social Media Marketing: $2,000 for paid ads and influencer collaborations, focusing on sustainable lifestyle content. Utilising Google Ads, Tik Tok, Instagram, etc. Potentially hiring a content coordinator with this to provide some guidance to start with.
Administrative Support: $1,000 for potentially hiring a personal assistant to organize and manage operations. Someone to pack orders and do that end of the business, especially anything physically taxing due to my autoimmune disease.
