Tell us about your business. What products or services do you offer?: As an independent copywriter and brand designer, I’m not just a storyteller but an architect of identities. I share your story. Bringing out the raw, real beauty that makes your business different from the others.

From penning sharp, evocative copy to weaving cohesive brand designs, I ensure each project resonates with authenticity and intrigue.

What inspired you to start your business?: It started after I quit a job and took a leap of faith when no other doors were opening. On a positive note, I'd always had the ambition to do something of my own, and thankfully, I followed my passion.

How long have you been running your business?: 5 years

What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced as a woman in business, and how did you overcome it?: I think the biggest challenges would be the feast or famine nature of being a solopreneur. I think eventually you stop bowing down and know your worth and charge accordingly. The toughest thing is to say no to a job but those that appreciate your work will accpet your price.

Having a stroke and having to start over. But in the end it's regavigating and an opportunity to do things differently.

What has been your proudest moment as a business owner?: Being recognised for my work and becoming a finalist in the following awards:

Also, to be still here in business and having celebrated 5 years in business this year.

What strategies have helped you grow your business?: Keeping a positive mindset, self-belief, and perseverance.

What tools or resources have been game-changers for your business?: At the beginning, the Clever Copywriting School by Kate Toon, which allowed me to build my business through education and access to a job board

Can you share one key lesson you’ve learned about managing finances as a business owner?: Put money aside for Tax every month.

How do you balance the demands of your business with your personal life?: It's important to have your boundaries. So I switch off by 4pm so I can be present with my husband. This means putting the phone in another room. Fridays are me day to focus on my mental health and recharge.

What leadership qualities do you believe are essential for running a successful business?: Trust. Honestly. A sense of empathy.
Treatting others like humans and understanding they have a life too.

How do you motivate and manage your team?: At present, it's only me.

What role does mentorship or networking play in your business journey?: From a netowrking perspective, the connections are a great asset and a way to learn more about other businesses and it also becomes a great place for support.

Mentoring - I believe knowledge is for sharing. So I'm currently working on helping other businesses launch with confidence through one-on-one brand building sessions. This way they can independently go ahead and do it themselves.

What trends do you think will shape your industry in the coming years?: An understanding of the power of storytelling.

How do you stay ahead of the competition in your industry?: I keep it raw and real. Humans connect with humans and it's understanding them to the core.

Who or what inspires you in your business journey?: The resilience from my dad. And from a wider perspective, there are many.
