3 Ways Women In Business Are Using AI To Get Ahead

If I could name two things women in business need more of, it’s time and money.

It was recently reported by UN Women that during the pandemic, women did an additional 512 billion hours of unpaid care work at home. So how TF are we supposed to build empires at the same time?

While I’m not going to change this inequity and imbalance in one article… what I can do is share a way to get ‘free time’ from AI tools.

If you haven’t explored any AI tools, I would suggest just opening your mind as to what’s possible. Jump onto a free platform like ChatGPT and just start writing prompts into the chat box and see what comes back. This act alone will start to help you imagine what’s possible when it comes to saving time on less strategic tasks in your business.

And it’s so much more than just writing your Instagram captions.

Here’s 3 ways women in business are using AI to get ahead.

1. Using AI for data-driven decision-making

One of the most significant benefits of AI is its ability to analyze vast amounts of data quickly and accurately. Women in business are using this to their advantage by using AI to inform their decision-making processes. AI can provide insights into consumer behavior, market trends, and competitor activities. With this information, women in business can make informed decisions that help them stay ahead of the competition.

For example, a clothing retailer could use AI to analyze consumer data and identify the latest fashion trends. Armed with this information, the retailer could stock their stores with the latest styles, attracting more customers and increasing sales.

Alternatively, an AI could help a beauty business by analysing market trends and making suggestions on popular ingredients to inform new product launches.

2. Improving customer experience with chatbots

Chatbots are another AI technology that women in business are using to get ahead. Chatbots can be used to provide quick and efficient customer support, 24/7. This is particularly useful for small businesses that may not have the resources to provide round-the-clock customer service. Now you are competing with the big guys!

Chatbots can answer frequently asked questions, resolve simple issues, and even take orders. This frees up time for business owners and employees to focus on other tasks. Additionally, chatbots can provide personalized recommendations and suggestions based on customer preferences, further enhancing the customer experience.

3. Enhancing productivity with low value tasks

Finally, and this one is my favourite because you don’t need to think that hard to get started, women in business are using AI to automate repetitive tasks, freeing up time for more strategic work. For example, AI has put our marketing function on steroids by giving us:

  • Suggested blog article topics

  • Blog article drafts (you still need to overlay your own tone of voice, facts and stories)

  • Social media captions

  • Video scripts

All tasks that took too much time and meant we didn’t always get to them, now the base work is done in seconds and we just overlay our strategic expertise and brand voice.

Now, don’t get me wrong some of these require set up and your AI output is only as good as the questions you ask it… but that’s exactly why I said to start experimenting. If you don’t like the responses you are getting, start asking questions in a different way. You’ll get the hang of it in no time and feel like you’ve just cloned yourself!

Now that’s a step in the right direction to getting women the support they deserve.
